1- FINAL SONG DROP – TOMORROW

The last track to be released of the “Read It On The Radio – Vol 2”- series drops tomorrow, Nov 21, and I can’t wait for you to hear it. It is my fav of the 5 tracks and perhaps the least likely choice for me of a cover. Thank you for following along with each release – your listens, downloads, messages and support have meant so much.

2-FINAL MONDAY NIGHT SHOW AT CAMERON HOUSE

As I come to the final night of this Cameron House residency, I just want to say thank you. This Monday night tradition has meant so much to me – sharing songs, stories, trying out new material – not to mention playing the new covers EP from beginning to end live for you as my second set in that cozy front room. If you’ve been thinking about coming to the show, this is your last chance. I’d love to see you there as we celebrate the new EP with an evening of music, community and a few surprises.

Hey friends,

I’m so excited to remind you that my Cameron House (408 Queen Street West) residency “Cover Me Mondays” kicks off tomorrow night (Monday Nov 3rd)! I can’t wait to bring the new songs from my cover EP “Read It On The Radio – Vol 2” to life and share the stage with hunky Peter Collins on bass and Jonathan Billings on lead guitar throughout the month.

Two of the singles we will be celebrating tomorrow night have already been released on Bandcamp – listen and learn more about the songs producer Mitch Girio and I recorded together here:

I’m so excited to share some big news with you! As many of you know, this week I have the first single from my brand new covers EP called ‘Read It On The Radio – Vol 2’ coming out. I’ll be releasing one song a week every Friday beginning THIS Friday Oct 24th on Bandcamp. The first single “What’s So Funny ‘Bout Peace, Love and Understanding“, chosen by my lovely followers on Patreon, is a melodic, guitar driven cover of the power pop song written by Nick Lowe and originally covered by Elvis Costello. 50 years later, its message hasn’t lost an ounce of power. With a nod to Lowe’s signature jangly 12-string guitar sound and a subtle wink toward a distant Motown groove, I’m excited to hear what you think of this new version!

Follow me on Bandcamp HERE to be among the the first to hear my re-imagining of this timeless song and to catch each of the five tracks as they drop every Friday from Oct 24th – to Nov 21st.

Then, please save the date – Monday, Nov 3rd – for the opening night of my residency at the legendary Cameron House!

First Screenplay Read-Through

In another creative leap, I recently had the table read of my debut screenplay, Hope. Hearing the words and music come alive in a room full of actors and musicians was both surreal and inspiring – a reminder of why we create and share stories in the first place.

I’m so excited to share two pieces of good news.

My latest EP of cover songs is almost here! These are songs I’ve loved for years – reimagined through my own lens and that of producer Mitch Girio. It’s been so great to get back into the studio again. This project is truly a labour of love. Expect heartfelt, intimate takes on classics you might already hold dear.

To celebrate, I’m kicking off a 4 week Monday night residency at The Cameron House (front room!) starting Nov 3rd. I’ll be playing songs from the new cover EP, along with originals and some special guest throughout the run. Each night will have its own unique flavor – and I’d love to see you there. Greetings from Toronto! Something exciting is coming up so I wanted to reach out to share what’s next.

Hugh’s Room Presents: Elbow’s Up! Celebrating Great Canadian Songs

Get ready to raise your voice, lift your spirits, and throw your elbows up! Earlier this year I was invited to perform and join a star-studded Canadian line up to celebrate Canada and on June 27th you are invited to join us for a joyful night of music as we celebrate the songs and sounds that have shaped Canada’s vibrant musical landscape with classic and modern sounds of Canada.

First note is at 8pm with doors opening at 7pm live in the Green Sanderson Hall at Hugh’s Room, 296 Broadview Avenue.

I’m so excited to be part of this fabulous evening. Check out the poster below to see who I’ll have the honour of sharing the bill will. I know it will be a career highlight and I hope you will attend and be part of it!

Happy May! I’m thrilled to be performing with the full band at The Bunker on Saturday May 24th. It is THE PLACE to go for live music in Stratford. Al Lerman, David Essig and so many other heavy hitters have hit this stage! I’m excited to soon be among them! If you’re in Stratford, or want to come down and make a day/weekend of it, I’d love to see you there!

Hi! I hope you’re well and looking forward to the season of renewal where everything is green “On The Corner Of Your Street” (see what I did there?).

I’m excited to announce that I will be featured in the season finale of “CMCTV Talent” airing on City TV in Canada… tomorrow! That’s Sunday March 23rd at 9:30am EST on City TV.

CMCTV Talent is a Canadian musical television program dedicated to showcasing emerging musical talents from across the country.

Tune in for a deep dive into my musical story including what it took to get me out of my shell when I first moved to Toronto!

Thanks to everyone who came to my shows at Winterfolk last month. I truly appreciate it! Especially considering you had to battle a snow storm to get there! I have lots of shows coming up this spring/summer/fall, so you can expect me in your inbox again early April to tell you all about them. But I will say this: SAVE THIS DATE – Sat April 12 for my matinee (4-7pm) full band show at Sauce On The Danforth . We will be keepin’ it Saucy for all three sets.

I’ve been busy at work on more new music, and I will update you about that really soon! Here is a photo of me after a great writing session earlier this week in my happy writing place, the sun room! With the Gibson guitar my dad gave me when I left home to pursue my dreams.

In other news, Danny Marks is going to play one of the songs from We Got This – Side Two on his program on JazzFM.91 tonight around 10:15pm. I hope you’ll tune in to find out which one. SO excited. This particular track will have it’s radio debut tonight!
